How to get to Pisa, Italy:
City Pisa city centre can be reached from the airports by:
From “Pisa International Airport (PSA)” to “Polo A”
- The simplest option is a taxi, which takes about 10 minutes directly to the venue.
- If you prefer public transport, take “Pisa Mover” from the airport to “Pisa Centrale”. From “Pisa Centrale” you can reach the venue in three practical ways:
- by bus: take bus line “1+” and get off at the stop “Bonanno 5”, then walk a few minutes to “Polo A”;
- by train: take a regional train from “Pisa Centrale” to “Pisa San Rossore”, then walk to the venue in about 5 minutes;
- on foot: the walk from “Pisa Centrale” to “Polo A” takes about 25 minutes.
From “Florence Airport (FLR)” to “Polo A”
From the airport, take the tram to “Firenze S. M. Novella” railway station (see “Florence Airport tramway”). From “Firenze S. M. Novella”, frequent trains run to “Pisa Centrale”. Once you arrive at “Pisa Centrale”, the final step is straightforward: you can take bus line “1+” to the stop “Bonanno 5” (then a short walk), or take a regional train to “Pisa San Rossore” and walk to the venue in about 5 minutes. Walking from “Pisa Centrale” is also possible (~25 minutes).
Tickets and useful apps
For train timetables and tickets, we recommend the “Trenitalia app”.
For Pisa city buses, tickets can be purchased on board by simply tapping a contactless card or phone (see “Tip Tap” for details).
